A Guide Specifically for our

Pre-School Dance Program

Baby Ballet

Your first day of Baby Ballet will be a memorable one regardless, so lets make sure it is memorable for the RIGHT reasons. We are so excited to meet any new little smiling faces joining in for their first time during the term, and it is as much a thrill for us teachers to be there for your special day as it is for you!

Below we have compiled a few quick tips to keep in mind to ensure your very first day at Baby Ballet is a smooth and enjoyable one.

  • Arrive Early

I know – easier said than done, and sometimes it is so hard to get out of the door on time with your little dancer and often additional children or pets to organise as well. BUT if it is possible, allowing your dancer those few extra minutes before classes start to meet her new teachers, see the new room, and settle in before the class commences will help so much. We don’t want you to be stressed out trying to find our address or rushing out of the car as kid do pick up on our stress. A nice relaxed arrival will result in a relaxed (but excited!) dancer.

  1. Make the EBA studio a Familiar Place

If possible, come into the studio to have a look leading up to your ballerina’s first day. Even just drive past and wave, draw a picture of it or talk about it positively with friends during the week leading up to the first lesson. Make it an exciting and familiar place that your dancer will be comfortable to visit.

  1. Dress the Part!

One of the best part about ballet is the gorgeous little outfits we get to wear. Any excuse to get dressed up right? We allow our Baby Ballet students to wear a skirt of their choice over their uniform, so pull out those frilly dresses and puffy tutus, as nothing is too outrageous at Baby Ballet!

  1. Trust your Teachers

Being a ballet teacher is actually THE BEST job in the world, so we only employ the most experiences, fun and loving teachers to teach our classes at EBA. These girls will care and nurture our little ones in a safe environment, so trust them when they give suggestions or advice on how to settle your dancer in. Our classrooms are just for our Ballet Teachers and Baby Ballerinas, and Mummies & Daddies or Carers must wait in our waiting room and watch on the screen.

  1. Keep Calm & Enjoy the Moment!

What a special moment…her first ballet class! Enjoy it and treasure it forever. This could be the start of an absolutely magical dance journey for your family, and we are so excited to be apart of it.

Welcome to the EBA family.
